The very buildings themselves are made from energy-conserving materials that help keep the heat away from your room, for example window and balcony frames made by Kömmerling. Less heat means less air conditioning, thus leading to less energy consumption.

We have maximized the energy conservation with a VRV central air conditioning system made by DAIKIN. This central air conditioning system plays a vital role in maintaining high energy savings throughout the entire summer season, keeping our carbon footprint at a phenomenally low level.

Another thing that helps the entire Iliorama complex to keep high energy savings is the Smart Air Conditioning System. With this system the air conditioning unit only works if you firmly close the doors and the windows of your room. The room reaches the temperature that you want faster and keeps the coolness for longer.

Energy saving is not our only concern. We have also invested in ecological water collection tanks that our complex uses daily. These tanks collect water by snow or rain through the entire year. The water is saved and used in the summer for watering plants or for the cleaning needs of the buildings. Not even a drop is wasted! That’s how we also help our beautiful island, Thassos, since in recent years it has been having some drought issues.

We try to be as careful and respectful as possible even with the none collected water.
In every room, the water is heated solely by the sun. If there is a surplus of hot water and it’s not used by someone, it travels to the rest of the buildings, in order to waste even less energy.

Another very important thing that we took in consideration is that we chose COCO-MAT, the Greek eco-friendly company, for covering the sleeping needs of our guests. Ecological sheets, pillows, pillow-cases and mattresses, made of the best and most eco-friendly materials such as cotton, coconut fiber, eucalyptus and more. COCO-MAT, specializes in these handmade products with the utmost respect to the environment. Rest assured that your sleep is in good hands. Another thing we love here in Iliorama is recycling. We try our best to collect as many recyclable materials as possible each season.

Last, but definitely not least, we take care of the Iliorama and Endless Blue beach on a daily basis. We know that the beach and the sea is there for all of us to enjoy, but it’s also a natural habitat to many creatures. That’s why we clean it daily in a meticulous way, multiple times throughout the day.

The environment is our home. It’s also the home of our kids and the future generations.
